Hello! My name is Wendy Parish and I'm excited to share my story with you! 

​

I founded Studio 52 Hair Salon and Spa in 1989 after growing up in the area and graduating from New Palestine High School. I am the proud 

owner and manager, and I still actively work with my loyal clients behind the chair as a stylist. I have been in business for over 35 years, and have loved every minute of it!

 

Starting out, I worked as a single-chair stylist upstairs at the old Beattey Construction Building (now El Toro Mexican Restaurant) less than 1 mile from our current location. I always dreamed about opening my own business and I was inspired to do so when I began to picture myself nestled in our 200 year old farm house that seemed just perfect for my hair salon and spa. So, shortly after I married my husband, David Parish, we purchased the farmhouse together, and we both now successfully run our family businesses out of this building.

Over the years, I have had many amazing stylists work alongside me at Studio 52, all of whom were like family to me. At our busiest peak, I had 22 great stylists operating out of our beloved salon. So, about 15 years ago I opened our 2nd location, Studio at the Terrace. Our new location was thriving, until we went back to our original location due to Covid-19. At this point, I was ready to slow down anyways. So, alongside my dear friend Cindy Speth (also a previous successful hair salon owner out of Wanamaker, IN), I condensed our large hair salon to only the front half of the building and was ready to enjoy more time with my friends, family, and new grandbabies!

This is where "make your plans and hear God laughing" comes into play, because in the fall of 2023 my youngest daughter, Madison (Parish) Wilderman, informed me that she had quit her job at IU Simon Cancer Center in Oncology Research, and was set on going back to cosmetology school to follow in my footsteps. And after she graduated in Nov 2024, Madison joined our small team and brought new life and a strong drive to re-open our once large and booming hair salon back to its former glory. And although not the peaceful, slow-paced days I had in mind, I couldn't be more proud of her and excited to assist her relentless efforts in re-opening Studio 52. Madison has been learning and growing from Cindy and I, and I have no doubt she will successfully carry on our small-town, family-founded and oriented local business!

​Studio 52 Mission Statement: 

​

       At Studio 52 we often refer to our mission statement, "With God all things are possible." Which ties in perfectly with Wendy's favorite Bible verse, John 15:5, "I am the vine and you are the branches, apart from you I can do nothing! With you I will produce much fruit." Our Goal at this studio is to turn these statements into a reality for all, and therefor "produce much fruit." We strive to be a light that continuously shines God's love to all that walk into this humble establishment.

       Along with showing God's love, our other goal is to enhance the beauty that God created. At Studio 52 we continue our education throughout the years, and keep up on the latest styles and trends that satisfies your need for the perfect look. We are constantly changing for the better and finding more ways to make our clients happy.
